![]() ![]() But it's a bit heavy for the starter stats, and once you've boosted them, it's not as good as the other stuff you can get. The Parking Meter that Berserk gets is okay, since it's got decent cleave (too heavy for Grappler or Ex-Wrestler which is the other one supplied with it I guess the idea is that you mainly use it to knockdown before picking up and throwing the zombies?). But the Sturdy Cleaver is pretty good (0 cooldown and guaranteed 2-zombie cleave), and the Electric Guitar for Civilized is decent and the extra Shooting point helps boost them towards getting the Calm-Shot combo which is useful for certain text events. IMHO the generic Aluminum Bat is kind of mediocre. The disadvantage is that unless you get rid of the Trademark weapon at some point by selling it (if it's sellable) or replacing it*, then if you get something nicer to equip with, like the Tactical Spear, generally the AI just won't use it at all, and stick to the Aluminum Bat or whatever, even if technically its stats are noticeably inferior. But that becomes less of a consideration once they finally put in weapon lock so that the AI stops swapping out the good stuff for trash off the floor at the worst possible time. The main advantage of Trademark Weapon is that it won't break, and more importantly, the AI won't drop it. OTOH, you might as well go with Martial Artist or Big Bruiser so that it's not a consideration, or just take Fighter instead, since you get 2 Strength and 2 Shooting instead of just 1, and the Hatchet is pretty good (unbreakable, better than average damage, and not too heavy, with a small chance of cleave) and can be swapped out for something better later. Deadlier/Extreme tends to be pretty stingy with supplying decent weapons early on, so sometimes it's worth it to have one guaranteed just so that you won't have to keep scrounging for something, anything to use. ![]() ![]() Personally, I think it depends on the weapon and starting trait, and sometimes the game mode. ![]()
